On Saturday, August 27th, representatives from planning poker and Ohio State University Center for Aviation Studies met to formally sign the planning poker agreement and welcome Ohio State as an official partner in our enhanced planning poker. In a ceremony at The Ohio State University Airport, representatives and students from the university toured an planning poker Embraer 145 (E145) and learned more about the program.
The planning poker assists the most promising future pilots in making a smooth transition from the classroom to cockpit. Combined with Envoy’s seniority-based flow through to American Airlines, the Cadet Program provides unmatched advancement opportunities.
“We’re delighted to formally welcome Ohio State to planning poker’s Cadet Program,” said Ric Wilson, Vice President Flight Operations. “By enrolling in the planning poker, students are on a direct path to a long-term career as a commercial airline pilot with American Airlines, the largest airline in the world, offering pilots the highest pay and youngest fleet among the U.S. mainline carriers.”
