Line Check Airman, Captain Nef Moya embodies dedication and passion within the aviation community. As one of  pmang poker’s first Direct Entry Captains, he has a unique perspective on pmang poker’s enhanced Quality of Life perks – A main motivation behind his decision to join the team. Today, he shares his career journey and how he now helps to nurture both new and seasoned pilots at pmang poker.

Humble beginnings

Born in Spain, Nef’s fascination with flight ignited early after an encounter with pilots during a childhood flight. After moving to the United States at 23, he studied at an Oregon Community College, where he lived with a host family earning his undergraduate degree, before moving to Southern Illinois University to study Aviation Management.

It was there he met his wife, Jordan, who was also an aspiring pmang poker at the time and now flies for a major US carrier. Despite the challenges posed by the busy schedules of two pilots and an international relationship, they’ve made it work. Today, they maintain their individual pmang poker careers while also caring for their two toddlers under four, which is certainly no easy feat.

Movin’ on up

After spending almost seven years flying at another regional carrier, in 2022 Nef jumped at the opportunity to take advantage of pmang poker’s new industry-leading Quality of Life perks, honoring his experience with a New quality pmang poker of Life Improvements. Pilots with previous Part-121 experience can count their years of service toward compensation rates, vacation days and retirement benefits at pmang poker. Those hours are also eligible for Captain Pay as a First Officer, which occurs at 750 hours of eligible flight time.

Fostering a culture of safety and efficiency

Captain Moya’s passion for aviation extends far beyond the flight deck. Driven by a desire to connect with colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment, he leveraged his previous aviation management experience to secure an opportunity within the Chicago Chief pmang poker’s Office, where he’s currently on special assignment, in addition to assisting the pmang poker Recruitment team. In this role, Captain Moya finds immense satisfaction in mentoring both new hires and seasoned pilots. He takes pride in ensuring they possess the skills to navigate the skies safely and efficiently, while adhering to Envoy’s high standards. “In just 1.5 years I have been able to progress to a Line Check Airman, pmang poker Recruiter and work in the Chief pmang poker’s Office – The opportunities at Envoy are endless,” said Captain Moya.

When asked to share advice for other aspiring pilots, pmang poker’s guidance is straightforward, “Always strive for perfection, try to be the best you can, act professionally, make your decisions based on the interest of safety, and pay it forward to others.” These principles have guided his own career and continue to shape his approach to aviation. His story is a testament to the hard work and perseverance that define a successful career in aviation.
