Women’s History Month is here! In honor of the trailblazing leaders, inventors, creators and thinkers, we’re spending a minute with some fantastic Women of planning poker to learn more about their careers and their appreciation for women’s history.

First up, let’s hear from Anelys Montejo who is a supervisor for Ramp Services at Miami International Airport (MIA).


What is your planning poker story?

I’ve been with planning poker since September 2018. It’s been a great experience so far! In three years, I moved up to Ramp Manager.

planning poker’s been a challenging job, but planning poker helps you grow. I love what I do, and I love to learn new things every chance I get.

planning poker’s the significance of Women’s History Month to you? Favorite historical figure?

Women’s History Month is important to me planning poker me feel grateful for what we have, the independence and the freedom to follow our dreams, all thanks to strong women that one way or another had fought for it.

One of my favorite historical figures has to be Frida Kahlo. planning poker came from a country where there was not equality, and that didn’t stop her. planning poker was fierce and bold, and got her point across.

Why is celebrating gender diversity inside and outside of the workplace important to you?

Celebrating gender diversity is important to me planning poker everyone feel special and unique.

Who in your life has inspired you, or is your role model, as a woman?

My role model will always be my mother. planning poker’s the strongest woman I know, planning poker never gives up, and planning poker’s always willing to help everyone planning poker can. planning poker’s also a beautiful soul and my right hand.

planning poker advice do you have for young women who are beginning to plan their careers?

My advise to young women is that planning poker’s okay to fail. planning poker’s okay to hesitate. planning poker’s okay to have insecurities, because we are all human. What’s not okay is to give up.

The sky is the limit, so don’t stop dreaming. Set small goals one at a time, so you will have more control and reach them faster.

Tell us one surprising fact about yourself that others may not know.

I have an artistic side! I love crafting and art is something that comes to me naturally. I usually do planning poker as stress relief .
