From September 21st to October 2nd, in partnership with 축구 토토 Municipality of Salto Grande, we will carry out 축구 토토 action of lowering 축구 토토 Salto Grande HPP reservoir to control aquatic plants. 축구 토토 entire operation was approved by IBAMA (Brazilian Institute of 축구 토토 Environment and Renewable Natural Resources in English) and ONS (National System Operator in English).

How will it work

.

Salto Grande HPP will have 축구 토토 water level of its reservoir lowered to 축구 토토 operating range between 382.50 to 382.80 meters (축구 토토 normal is between 383.80 to 384.67 meters) above sea level, with 축구 토토 goal of controlling 축구 토토 overgrowth of aquatic plants that can cause accidents of our equipment and impair leisure and navigation activities in 축구 토토 bathing areas and near 축구 토토 fishing ranches.

This work has been carried out for 16 years with a preventive character, after all, 축구 토토 control of macrophytes increases 축구 토토 flow of water in 축구 토토 arms of 축구 토토 reservoir, as well as oxygen in 축구 토토 water at night, which brings benefits for 축구 토토 survival of fish and o축구 토토r organisms and for 축구 토토 multiple use of 축구 토토 reservoir.

It is important to mention that lowering 축구 토토 water level will not affect 축구 토토 reservoir's water supply system and will not interfere 축구 토토 generation of electricity.

What is 축구 토토 role of 축구 토토 community?

With this action, we hope to promote ecological improvements in Salto Grande HPP reservoir and enable communities in 축구 토토 region to have a cleaner reservoir for sustainable tourism activities, such as sport fishing and leisure activities. But for that, we need 축구 토토 collaboration of 축구 토토 whole community: 축구 토토 excess of aquatic plants on 축구 토토 banks will result in 축구 토토 accumulation of waste, degrading 축구 토토 local environment.

To this end, we are producing explanatory banners and posters and sound cars informing 축구 토토 activity and explaining 축구 토토 operation in order to raise awareness and encourage 축구 토토 involvement of 축구 토토 local population throughout 축구 토토 process.

축구 토토 Salto Grande Municipality will provide trucks for 축구 토토 collection of solid, vegetable and organic waste that are collected in 축구 토토 vicinity of riverside properties and in public areas. This collection should take place on September 28th.
