It\u2019s in their genetic make-up, passed down from generation to generation \u2013 this is certainly true about the Scott family.<\/p>\n<p>On June 6, Madison Scott became the latest member of her family to begin her career in aviation, when she graduated as an Envoy Flight Attendant. Her father, Envoy Captain William Scott, currently flies based out of Chicago O\u2019Hare (ORD) on the Embraer 140\/145, but became a pilot nearly 40 years ago.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Q_bKvBvslQY\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>However, the aviation lineage extends beyond them. William\u2019s father, Grayson Irving, was a pilot with Eastern Airlines where he flew DC-3s. Later in life, he instructed pilots in aerobatic flying.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s only fitting that William would marry another pilot, and not only that,\u00a0he was\u00a0her flight instructor. Since their marriage, Patricia Scott and William have owned and operated the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.medicalflight.org\/#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">air-ambulance company Lifeguard Aeromed<\/a> for over 35 years.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_11557\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11557\" style=\"width: 700px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.envoyair.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_Madison_Scott_Hurrican_harvey.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-11557 size-full\" title=\"Aeromed Lifeguard aircraft flying over flooding during Hurricane Harvey in 2017. \" src=\"https:\/\/www.envoyair.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_Madison_Scott_Hurrican_harvey.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_Madison_Scott_Hurrican_harvey\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-11557\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Lifeguard Aeromed\u00a0aircraft flying over flooding during Hurricane Harvey in 2017.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Along with their son Chase Idleman, they all serve as pilots, EMTs and paramedics for the business, which transports critical patients around the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. In 2017, the Scott family used their expertise and business to provide assistance to the victims of Hurricane Harvey by evacuating those trapped in flooded areas and transporting medications throughout Texas.<\/p>\n<h2>The Incredible Father-Daughter Flying Duo<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.envoyair.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_FS_1905_FA_Graduation_june_6_700px-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-11548 size-full\" title=\"Madison (left) with her father, Captain William Scott (right), at her Flight Attendant graduation ceremony. \" src=\"https:\/\/www.envoyair.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_FS_1905_FA_Graduation_june_6_700px-2.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_FS_1905_FA_Graduation_june_6_700px-2\" width=\"700\" height=\"394\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The last piece to the aviation family puzzle was Madison who looks forward to working with her father one day as flight attendant and pilot. Ever since she can remember, she\u2019s been flying with her father \u2013 whether it was a quick trip to the next state or a \u201cmagic carpet ride\u201d to see the lights during the holiday season.<\/p>\n<p>Now that they\u2019re both based in Chicago, the Scotts are excited about exploring a new city together.
