He drove me all the way to the ER, grabbed a wheelchair and took me inside and waited with me until my husband arrived to make sure I was not alone. If it was not for him and his quick actions, I could have lost my firstborn son; I was admitted that night and induced. My son was born two weeks early.\u201d The CSM went on to write \u201cPedro kept in contact with me to check up. I owe Pedro everything that night because I have my beautiful son, safe and healthy!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To recognize his lifesaving actions, last week Pedro received a Real American Hero award, which comes with a $1,000 cash prize and a very special hero cape.
