Five years ago today, our Embraer 175 fleet officially entered scheduled revenue service. The first official flight? AA3313 from Dallas\/Fort Worth (DFW) to Little Rock (LIT). After an on-time departure and quick turn, DFW Airport greeted the aircraft with a water-cannon salute (shown above)<\/em> before the aircraft turned again and went to Savannah (SAV). On the first day of scheduled revenue operations, Envoy-operated E175s also flew to Des Moines (DSM), Memphis (MEM), Northwest Arkansas (XNA) and Corpus Christi (CRP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n In February 2016, Envoy operated just five E175 aircraft; five years later we now operate 98. The fleet has seen more than 387,000 departures, carrying more than 22.8 million customers to 136 destinations across North America. This growth, which included the launch of a new maintenance base in Little Rock (LIT) in 2017, changed Envoy\u2019s network dramatically, adding more destinations with two-class service, inflight WiFi, full-size overhead bins, auto-throttles and modern avionics, as well as and many other amenities customers and employees expect from the \u201cflagship\u201d aircraft in American Airlines Group\u2019s regional fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe E-Jet platform is both the present and future of Envoy,\u201d said Envoy Senior Vice President, Air Operations, Dee Temples<\/strong>. \u201cThe expertise with the aircraft that our team has built positions us well as a valuable part of the American Eagle network for years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Here\u2019s to many more years of Embraer 175 service!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Five years ago today, our Embraer 175 fleet officially entered scheduled revenue service.
