We\u2019re always looking to inspire the next generation of aviators, and Envoy First Officer\u00a0Nicole Gallagher<\/strong>\u00a0is doing just that. In addition to her recent role as Social Media Chair for the chapter, Nicole recently supported in a Women in Aviation Tampa Bay Chapter<\/a> event, focused on encouraging kids to join this great industry.\u00a0During the event, Nicole spoke to the Civil Air Patrol Cadets and the aviation class of Azalea Middle School in St. Petersburg, Florida. She shared a presentation with the students to educate them on the different career options that exist within the aviation industry and urged them to get involved in the WAI Tampa Bay Chapter.<\/p>\n

Nicole\u00a0was joined by YouTube personality and helicopter pilot, Steven Carlson<\/a>, and his flight instructor. Together, they were able to coordinate a helicopter fly-in, which landed on the school\u2019s football field to allow students to have a closer look. After the presentations, students were able to ask questions and speak one-on-one with the presenters.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe event was a total success,\u201d shared Nicole. \u201cIt was so exciting to see the students\u2019 reactions to the fly-in and witness their interest in aviation take off before our very eyes! I look forward to being involved in more events like this in the future and doing my part to help inspire the next generation of aviators.\u201d<\/p>\n
