Earlier this week, Envoy reached another impressive milestone in our Company history: we are now more than nineteen-thousand-employees strong. We are proud that our employees’ hard work and dedication has allowed Envoy to grow.

We’ve shared before that it takes a broad range of skills, experience and diversity to be successful in the airline industry. Envoy achieved this through our focus on Safety, Quality and Cost, and employees across Envoy should celebrate this sign of our continued success. Envoy is committed to hiring the “best of the best” while maintaining a work environment that celebrates differences and allows employees to grow their skills and thrive.

The breadth of our reach can also be highlighted by our growth in the number of Envoy locations across the system – you’ll now find Envoy employees at more than 100 locations from the Pacific to the Caribbean! This includes 115 airport ground handling operations, 4 flight and flight service crew bases, 11 maintenance bases and our Headquarters campus and training center in Irving, Texas.

Along with opening new ground handling locations as far away as Hawaii (OGG & KOA), since 2014 we’ve also added new Maintenance bases in LIT, AUS and most recently PHX, and opened new crew bases in MIA and PHX – just to name a few.

Connecting all these stations and hubs is, of course, our aircraft. At the end of this month we’ll say a fond goodbye to our fleet of 50 seat Embraer 145 aircraft. The E145 has served Envoy well for many years and we’re excited for the ability to focus on a single fleet type with our growing Embraer 170/175 fleet of aircraft. These aircraft will make Envoy a stronger, leaner company and help us to continue to build Envoy as a critical part of the American Eagle network.

Each and every Envoy employee plays a vital role in helping our colleagues and customers meet our goals. We’re proud of what we’ve built and look forward to continuing to be the largest regional carrier for American Airlines, and one of the best regional carriers in the world.
