When thinking of reasons to visit the Bahamas, the first thoughts that may come to mind are the clear, turquoise waters and the tropical climate, but another thing to add to that list is the welcoming spirit of the Envoy team at the Exuma International Airport (GGT).<\/p>\n

Last month, the GGT Envoy team came together along with their American Airlines (AA) counterparts, to celebrate their win of the American Airlines Customer Cup for the first quarter of 2023 over a meal of traditional Bahamian food like peas and rice, conch fritters and baked mac & cheese. In between bites, several people took turns standing up to explain what the acronym\u00a0WELCOME<\/em>\u00a0means to them as a team.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are\u00a0W<\/u><\/strong>inners. We\u00a0E<\/u><\/strong>mbrace our daily challenges.\u00a0L<\/u><\/strong>oyalty is limitless. We\u00a0C<\/u><\/strong>onsistently deliver on our goals.\u00a0O<\/u><\/strong>bstacles are imminent, but we confidently embrace and overcome them. We start our day with\u00a0M<\/u><\/strong>otivated words.\u00a0E<\/u><\/strong>xcellence is the key to our success,\u201d the GGT team said together.<\/p>\n

Leading the group of winners is Envoy GGT General Manager\u00a0Monique Brown<\/strong>\u00a0who has been a part of previous cup wins in Georgetown.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am so proud of this team for doing such an outstanding job in the first quarter of 2023 and bringing home the Customer Cup yet again,\u201d said Monique. \u201cThis award was proudly earned. Excellence is what we do.\u201d<\/p>\n

After everyone finished their meals, it was time to cut the cake and start dancing. Some team members carried on the\u00a0spirit of welcome<\/em>\u00a0even then, as they took the hands of some children eating at a nearby table and brought them out to the dancefloor.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe team really showcased their culture at this event,\u201d said Envoy Vice President, Airport Services\u00a0Jude Mayeux<\/strong>. \u201cThis is a memory I will have for the rest of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n
