One of the best parts of these partnerships is participating in yearly conferences to network with attendees, learn more about specific issues and concerns, and work together to continue to make aviation safe and secure for everyone.<\/p>\n<p>The Professional Asian Pilots Association (PAPA) Expo in Las Vegas was no different, as aviators at all stages of their careers mingled and networked with airlines recruiting talent and promoting their workplace cultures.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"2024 PAPA Expo Recap\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3XoJTM9R2Ds?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1&#038;origin=https:\/\/www.envoyair.com\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Members from the Envoy Air Operations Recruitment team were in attendance to recruit pilots to join Envoy, as well as experience the vibrant atmosphere celebrating the multitude of Asian cultures. When pilots attend an event like the PAPA Expo, our recruiters become their doorway and guides into their prospective aviation careers.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-46377 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.envoyair.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/IMG_2024-PAPA-Expo_LAS_Jun-3-11.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to connect with candidates and talk up Envoy\u2019s reputation as a premier regional airline for pilots,\u201d said Envoy Pilot Recruiter\u00a0<strong>Kasie Cox<\/strong>. \u201cBasically, we try to sell our Quality-of-Life perks and lay out all the opportunities they have to achieve happiness in their careers.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Something to lean on<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>For a pilot who is either coming from another airline or joining their first, our Recruiters are a crucial resource for navigating uncharted territories. By being their points of contact and guiding them through their process, Recruiters eventually become cheerleaders for candidates\u2019 success, which is needed at those times.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-46372\" src=\"https:\/\/www.envoyair.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/IMG_2024-PAPA-Expo_LAS_Jun-3-6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"889\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>No one knows that better than Envoy First Officer\u00a0<strong>Pat Dennison.<\/strong>\u00a0He started his Envoy career as a recruiter for our Airport teams,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.envoyair.com\/2023\/02\/06\/envoy-recruiter-on-military-leave-returns-as-a-cadet-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">served in the Army<\/a>\u00a0for four years where he got the urge to become a pilot, began flight training with Envoy and is now a First Officer and Pilot Recruiter with us.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I started at Envoy, I fell in love with the work and the organization,\u201d Pat said. \u201cAs an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.envoyair.com\/careers\/pilots\/cadet-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Envoy Cadet<\/a>, I was happy to lean on recruiters who pushed me every step of the way. Now, I get the opportunity to return that favor for young pilots and show them what their career could be.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Culture and Career<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-46378\" src=\"https:\/\/www.envoyair.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/IMG_Pilots_DFW-Hangar_E175_oct-19-59.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Envoy Captain\u00a0<strong>Jay Abdal<\/strong>\u00a0is another success story to share with attendees at the PAPA Expo. As a PAPA member and Asian pilot, Jay is fantastic asset for the Recruitment team who can speak to candidates on many levels.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to show young pilots that there\u2019s more to these conferences than just interviews and meetings,\u201d Jay said. \u201cI urge them to use this as place to share ideas, connect with your culture and find a mentor. These actions can make for a strong and fulfilling career, too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-46368\" src=\"https:\/\/www.envoyair.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/IMG_2024-PAPA-Expo_LAS_Jun-3-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"889\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With so much cultural engagement and activity, the PAPA Expo was a lively event filled with traditional music, dances, attire, foods, martial arts performances and more. Although the spectacle of it all was captivating, Envoy Recruiters knew that their time there could one day be invaluable to potential Envoy Pilot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen we meet folks at a conference or talk to one of our Cadets, we always tell them to continue their training and not to get discouraged,\u201d said Kasie. \u201cIn the end, all the hard work they put into their careers will pay off and be rewarding for their futures.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Interested in becoming an Envoy pilot?
