{"id":5260,"date":"2017-04-26T16:04:26","date_gmt":"2017-04-26T21:04:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.envoyair.com\/?p=5260"},"modified":"2017-04-26T16:04:26","modified_gmt":"2017-04-26T21:04:26","slug":"purdue-university-visits-envoy-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.envoyair.com\/2017\/04\/26\/purdue-university-visits-envoy-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Purdue University Visits Envoy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Tuesday, April 25, aviation students from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Purdue University<\/a>\u00a0visited Envoy Headquarters for a special behind-the-scenes tour of our operation, guided by Purdue Alum and Envoy Captain Andrew Benich, as well as Envoy Captain Taylor Hinckley.<\/p>\n<p>A special Envoy charter flight brought Purdue students and faculty from Lafayette (LAF) to Dallas\/Fort Worth (DFW), where the group received a tour of Envoy Headquarters, the American Airlines Training Center and <a href=\"http:\/\/crsmithmuseum.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">C.R. Smith Museum<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5249 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.envoyair.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/IMG_EHQ_Purdue_tour_April_2017-12-400x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_EHQ_Purdue_tour_April_2017-12\" width=\"439\" height=\"247\" \/><\/p>\n<p>During their visit, students had the chance to\u00a0meet and speak with\u00a0AA Flight\u00a0Simulator Instructor, Craig Ritchie, who encouraged students to take advantage of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.envoyair.com\/cadet-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Envoy&#8217;s Cadet Program<\/a>, not just for the financial benefit, but for the opportunity to learn more about themselves and others. Students\u00a0gained valuable career advice and\u00a0learned what it takes to run a 24-hour operation, all before heading back to school.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was an honor hosting\u00a0students from my alma mater to see Envoy and American Airlines&#8217; facilities,&#8221; said Capt.
