{"id":5372,"date":"2017-05-12T10:12:15","date_gmt":"2017-05-12T15:12:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.envoyair.com\/?p=5372"},"modified":"2017-05-12T10:12:15","modified_gmt":"2017-05-12T15:12:15","slug":"utah-student-pilots-visit-envoy-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.envoyair.com\/2017\/05\/12\/utah-student-pilots-visit-envoy-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Utah Student Pilots visit Envoy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Wednesday, May 10, student pilots from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Utah State University<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westminstercollege.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Westminster College<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/cornerstoneaviation.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cornerstone Aviation<\/a>\u00a0visited Envoy Headquarters for a special behind-the-scenes tour of our operation, guided by Utah State Alumna Envoy Captain Jessica Hines, as well as American Airlines First Officer Mark Davis.<\/p>\n<p>A special Envoy charter flight brought students from Salt Lake City (SLC) to Dallas\/Fort Worth (DFW), where the group received a tour of Envoy Headquarters, the American Airlines Training Center and Integrated Operations Center, as well as the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/crsmithmuseum.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">C.R. Smith Museum<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5396 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.envoyair.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/IMG_EHQ_Utah_Schools_Tour_May10-2-400x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_EHQ_Utah_Schools_Tour_May10-2\" width=\"489\" height=\"275\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>During their visit, students had the chance to\u00a0meet and speak with\u00a0American Airlines&#8217; Director of Pilot Recruitment, Captain David Tatum, who\u00a0shared that Envoy is American&#8217;s single largest source for pilots. He offered insight based on his experience from the field, adding that American&#8217;s great leadership team is what sets the airline apart from the pack. Students\u00a0gained valuable career advice and\u00a0learned what it takes to run a 24-hour operation, all before heading back to school.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was an honor hosting\u00a0students from my alma mater to see Envoy and American Airlines\u2019 facilities,\u201d said Capt.
