On Thursday, May 24, the Envoy team in Baton Rouge (BTR) came together to celebrate a fantastic first quarter of 2018 (1Q18).<\/p>\n

But that\u2019s not all \u2013 the team\u2019s hard work paid off, and the team earned themselves the station\u2019s very first American Airlines Customer Cup \u2013 the coveted quarterly prize for outstanding operational performance and customer satisfaction.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a specifically unique and cohesive team,\u201d explains\u00a0Denice Cardona<\/strong>, BTR General Manager. \u201cEveryone from the ticket counter to the gate \u2013 from the airport to TSA and the ramp team \u2013 is invested in giving customers the best possible experience. We all have the same vision and are focused on the same thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

That vision helped bring home the Cup. So when did the magic start coming together?<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re a family \u2013 we hang out outside of work, too,\u201d added Denice. \u201cWe\u2019re also very lucky to have low attrition and some great new leads \u2013 one transfer, one promotion \u2013 who brought us some more strength. We teach everyone not just to do a job, but to do it well.\u201d<\/p>\n

To celebrate, the team came together on May 24 to share lunch and set their sights on another Customer Cup win. \u201cWe were surprised to hear that we won for Q1,\u201d added Denice. \u201cNow we\u2019re ready to do it all over again in Q2.\u201d<\/p>\n

Team BTR\u2019s win also puts them in the running for the 2018 Champions Cup, which is awarded annually in the spring. Enjoy your first Customer Cup win, team BTR!<\/p>\n

What is the Customer Cup?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Customer Cup is a quarterly award and celebration organized by American Airlines to recognize stations that demonstrate the strongest performance in Customer Experience.<\/p>\n

How do you win?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Each station across the AAG network \u2013 both domestic and international \u2013 competes against other of the same size and operational likeness. Stations are measured by performance in several metrics, including:<\/p>\n

  • Departure Dependability (D+0)<\/li>\n
  • Turn Dependability (T+0)<\/li>\n
  • Baggage Performance (MBR)<\/li>\n
  • Customer Feedback<\/li>\n
  • Overall Airport Experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    What do stations win?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    Every quarter, winning stations receive the Customer Cup to recognize the efforts of employees at that station.
